Daruni was summoned by Lord Zennon, alongside Devilman and Rerasu. After Akira Fudo and his father Professor Fudo had fallen into the demons cave Zennon kills them and makes the three demons fight to the death for the ownership of Akira's body. Rerasu gets knocked down by Devilman. Meanwhile Daruni grabs a large rock and throws it at Devilman. However he catches it and throws it back at Daruni and knocks him down. Rerasu then attempts to stab Devilman but ends up killing himself. However in the struggle Daruni grabs Devilman's legs and pulls him down. He jumps of Devilman but he ejects his wings firing Daruni high up into the air and impales himself on several hanging icele's killing him.
