Gulpin (Gokulin in Japanese) is a small Poison type Pokémon, its name origin comes from the word gulp, Gokulin means the same in Japanese, its design origin possibly comes from snakes that swallow their victims whole.
In the anime Gulpin has appeared twice, the first time was in the episode Gulpin it Down, were a large group of Gulpin invade and start to devour a small unamed harbor towns food supply, a scientist also accidently makes a Daikaiju sized Gulpin. A singel Gulpin also makes an appearnce in the episode Curbing the Crimson Tide!
