Rampardos (Rampald in japanese) is a large Rock type Fossil Pokémon. Its origin is from the Dinosaur Pachycephalosauridae with its name coming from the words Ram or Rampart.
In the anime Rampardos has only been seen three times. The first time a Cranidos is under the ownership of Roark it evolves into a Rampardos and then defeated Ash's Aipom and Pikachu. It was eventually defeated by Ash's Tirtwig. Later the same Rampardos appeard in the episode "Ancient Family Matters!" were it was fighting a Bastidon. Another Rampardos was in the begging of the film Zoroak: Masters of illusion.
