The Gargantuan Statue of Liberty Angel was a Weeping Angel that had replaced the real Statue of Liberty for a brief period of time in 1938. It hunted down a detective and absorbed his time energy. Later it was ready to do the same to Rory Williams but he jumps from a building causing a time paradox, in turn poisoning nearly all the angels.
