Revelations
The Whore of Babylon is an allegorical figure of evil mentioned in the book of Revelations, the last book in the Bible.
She is also the mother of “disgusting things” in that she has given birth to such revolting offspring as idolatry, spiritism, fortune-telling, astrology, palmistry, human sacrifice, temple prostitution, drunkenness in honor of false gods, and other obscene practices.
According to Revelations she rides a seven-headed Beast which appears to be the Antichrist.
In the ancient City of Babylon where the Israelites were taken too after the Babylonians destroyed most of Jerusalem after an invasion into Israel. The Babylonians worshipped a pagan female God Whom many believe the Whore represents. Many Christians believe it represents the city of Rome, or the Romen Catholic Church. Or a false religion.
According to the book of Revelations, the whore of Babylon will be destroyed, by Satan.
Her full title is given as "Babylon the Great, the Mother of Prostitutes and Abominations of the Earth"
